House of Whimsy

A home that stands as a living gallery where art, childhood nostalgia, and contemporary elegance exist in perfect harmony, proving that true luxury is simply knowing how to play.

On the surface, the brief appeared straightforward. However, it proved to be a significant challenge: to sculpt a sanctuary that is simultaneously a sophisticated retreat and a playground for an ever-growing, spirited collection of art, toys, and arcade games.
It is, by design, a home that refuses to grow up.

The entertainment room serves as the home’s heartbeat, mirroring the client’s playful, whimsical spirit. Here, a treasured collection of Bearbrick defies gravity, floating from above enshrined in custom transparent domes suspended from a sleek, perforated ceiling. This industrial canopy quietly conceals the room's technology, freeing the floor for a fluid transition from cinema nights and arcade gaming to late-night conversation.
While rooted in quiet sophistication, this playful nature is beautifully toned down, appearing only in subtle glimpses throughout the rest of the home. In the open-concept living and dining areas, the exterior ceiling material gently flows inward, blurring the boundary between the world outside and the sanctuary within. Dwelling spaces on the upper floors are also met with the same restraint, where the main walls are dressed in muted textures to await the client’s expanding art collection.

With every piece of furniture carefully customized and curated to reflect this irreverent spirit, the home stands as a living gallery where art, childhood nostalgia, and contemporary elegance exist in perfect harmony, proving that true luxury is simply knowing how to play.
