Pop Pop Pets

Shifting between retail showroom, exhibition space and miniature pet park, the design creates an environment that is as dynamic, social and curious as the pets it welcomes.

Pop Pop Pets reimagines the pet retail experience as a playful and ever-changing destination. As an online marketplace featuring local and regional pet accessory brands, the physical store serves as both a showcase and gathering space for the growing pet community.

Located within a quiet corner of New Bahru (which we also designed), the store is designed to feel open and welcoming with a wall of glass doors which is also signage & used for shop posters. This helps to create a transparent threshold, allowing activities within to spill out visually and, when required, the store can open up to support various events and programs.
The design draws inspiration from old-school fun fairs, where attractions appear organically throughout a site, inviting discovery and interaction. Rather than fixed retail fixtures, the store is populated by a series of movable display "attractions", each uniquely designed to house and celebrate a pet brand. Integrated within these installations are playful tunnels and passages that encourage pets to explore, transforming shopping into a shared experience between owners and their companions.

This flexible arrangement allows the space to continually evolve, adapting to new brands, events and community gatherings. At any given moment, the store can shift between retail showroom, exhibition space and miniature pet park — creating an environment that is as dynamic, social and curious as the pets it welcomes.
